I am writing to remind you of the upcoming quarterly meeting to be held on Saturday, March 11 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. We will be meeting at the Millard branch of the Omaha Public Library 13214 Westwood Lane (just south of 132nd and Center). I don’t know yet which room we will be in but will check right before the meeting and let you know. They don’t have that information available until right before the meeting.
As always, read everything there is LOTS of important information here!!!
As we have done in past years, we will send our auction pieces in a regional package. This saves on postage for all of us!
Your 12″ x 12″ Benefit Auction pieces should be brought to the March 11th meeting. We send our pieces together to save on shipping, plus it is great to get to see what everyone made in real life! We all know a photo is nice, but seeing the real thing is better!
All the details for the auction are found on the website under “Artwork-Benefit Auction”. A link to the form that needs to be filled out is there and a copy of the confirmation email you receive needs to be included with your piece.
Bring $1.50 for postage along with your piece. I will prepare a box and ship them out after the meeting as we want them to be there by the Early Bird Deadline. As you see, there is an added bonus to get them to SAQA by March 25th, so I plan to send them out on the Monday morning after the meeting!
Early Bird Deadline: April 1, 2017
The Early Bird DEADLINE of April 1st will make your donation eligible to be included in the Benefit Auction promotional brochures. Those received by our shipping department by March 25th will have the opportunity to be displayed at the International Quilt Festival in Chicago (April 6-8).
As a refresher and for the new members: AUCTION QUILT REQUIREMENTS

LINCOLN SAQA CONFERENCE-
I have been asked if anyone would like to carpool from Omaha to the conference. If you would like to do so, please contact me at email@example.com and I will try to hook you up with others looking to carpool. It will be up to you to set this up, I will just be sharing the names of those interested. Also, ask to join the private Facebook group set up by SAQA to help you get in touch with other attendees about ride sharing, searching for roommates, and receive breaking news about the conference.
We plan to announce the artists works selected for the Passages exhibition the first week in March. The selected works may be brought to the March 11th meeting.
