This information is taken straight from the meeting minutes email that hopefully you all received. I just wanted to separate it out in its own post so that it’s easier to reference.
The deadline for Passages is January 15, 2017.
Due to confusion about the artwork size that came about as the result of an error made in the original call, a poll was put out to analyze how we should proceed.
Here is the final analysis after the poll results:
For those who have already made a piece or have one in the works with the call’s original size requirements of:
Width not less than 20 inches, not more than 25 inches; Length not less than 30 inches, not more than 40 inches with a variance 1 inch in width or length.
Your work will be considering in the jurying process to be included in the show.
If you have not already started your piece (you know who you are 🙂 PLEASE use the size requirement listed below. We are trying to include as many works as possible in the show, and if they are larger, there will be fewer selected for the exhibition.
PLEASE NOTE PROSPECTUS CHANGE:
Size Requirements: Width 20 inches, length 40 inches with a variance 1 inch in width or length.
The corrected size had been the original intention of the exhibition, but errors do occur as we all know, so we are proceeding in the best way possible.
I restate, if you have not already begun your piece, PLEASE USE THE PROSPECTUS CHANGE SIZE OF: Width 20 inches, length 40 inches with a variance 1 inch in width or length.
The call is on the website Call for Entries
NOTE: images of work entered needs to be sent to both Cynthia Levis and Debo Hysack. Entry fee is to be sent to Cynthia Levis with a hard copy of your on line entry from the SAQA website.
