From Quilts, Inc.:

Submit your work for this year’s shows!

Would you like to see one of your quilted masterpieces on display at the 2015 editions of International Quilt Festival in Houston or Quilt! Knit! Stitch! in Portland? Whether you’re a traditional, modern, or art quilter, we’re sure one of our seven current calls for entry will speak to you!

If you are interested in entering work for possible inclusion in one of this year’s exhibits, see the complete list of current calls for entry and their descriptions below. And visit the Entries Page on our website any time for information on the most recent contests and calls for entry.

Quilt! Knit! Stitch!™/Portland (Aug. 13-15, 2015)

BLACK TO WHITE
The purpose of this challenge–open to Modern Quilters in the Pacific Northwest–is to create a modern quilt whose colors transition from black to white with shades of gray in between.

UPCYCLED OR RECYCLED APRONS
For this exhibit, artists are challenged to give new life to old or unfinished projects by “upcycling” them into aprons.

THE YARN BARN
This fun exhibit will feature knitted, stitched, and felted creatures no taller than five inches in height. Help us populate our Yarn Barn with your own tiny creative creatures!

International Quilt Festival/Houston (Oct. 29-Nov. 1, 2015)

HANDS ALL AROUND
Now in its 29th year, this exhibit showcases contemporary, international quilts representing various cultures and designs from around the world.

IN FULL BLOOM
This popular exhibit celebrates one of quilting’s most popular themes and motifs, spotlighting flowers and floral works.

IN THE AMERICAN TRADITION
This annual special exhibit features the very best in contemporary traditional-based quilting, including works created by hand or machine, appliquéd, pieced, or wholecloth quilts.

TACTILE ARCHITECTURE™
We will once again showcase architecturally themed works in this long-running annual exhibit.

WHAT’S FOR DINNER?
For this unique exhibit, we’ll “set the table” with enlarged “place settings,” complete with a placemat/tablecloth, napkin, fork, knife, spoon, and a plate full of “what you are eating for dinner.”

TEXAS GUILDS’ AWARD-WINNING TRADITIONAL QUILTS
This exhibit is open to guilds in Texas holding a guild show and contest, a minimum of one show every three years, and features winning traditional-style quilts.
